The pillars of our natural cosmetics

Pillars of our natural cosmetics

Rose

The rose not only pleases our senses, but also provides us with valuable raw ingredients for natural cosmetics. Extracts of rose blossoms have a pleasantly vitalising effect and cleanse the skin.

Rose seed oil contains valuable, unsaturated fatty acids which are essential for the formation of collagen. Rose oil thus provides more elasticity and silkiness, can soften skin and even help heal scars.

From an aromatherapeutic point of view, the rose has a harmonising and balancing effect - and even works in a soothing way.

As soon as the first wrinkles become noticeable, the rose acts against the decreasing elasticity and combats dryness of the skin.

According to the NHV Theophrastus*, Rosa Damascena is the medicinal plant of the year 2013.

Geranium

Geranium oil is a natural antidepressant and has great mood-enhancing properties. Another very special quality is its mood-balancing effect. It works on us in a calming way when we are stressed and stimulates us during mood lows.

On the skin, geranium has a strong astringent effect. It also promotes healthy blood circulation: applying the oil on the skin, the rubbed skin site is increasingly supplied with nutrients, which in turn boosts cell regeneration. Geranium strengthens and accelerates healing of wounds and has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.

Geranium also helps to regulate sebum production of our skin. It reduces sebum production in excessively oily skin and stimulates it in dry skin.

Lavender

Lavender from the mint family of herbs (Lamiaceae) is one of the most traditional of medicinal plants. One of the main uses of lavender as a medicinal plant is against stress, anxiety, nervousness and restlessness.

Lavender has a strong healing effect on the skin. Lavender oil stimulates growth of skin cells, and so it acts preventively against skin aging, and also supports the natural healing processes of the skin.

Lavender promotes circulation and has anti-inflammatory and calming effects. In addition, it has certain anti-fungal and antibacterial effects.

Lavender has astringent and disinfectant properties, helps with blemished skin and acne and eases sores as well as skin injuries, burns, sunburn and insect bites. Lavender has an excellent relaxing effect on our skin. According to the NHV Theophrastus*, Lavandula Angustifolia is the medicinal plant of the year 2008.

The Miracle of Magnesium

Magnesium is essential for our heart, for our skeletal muscles as well as our bones. It helps to regulate our hormonal balance. We experience an increased need for magnesium during times of stress, high physical activity, pregnancy or menopause, as well as when taking certain medication. On the other hand, the foods we consume usually do not contain sufficient magnesium to meet this need. The miracle of magnesium

A well-balanced magnesium level results in increased energy, promotes the mobility of muscles and joints, provides us with better quality sleep, has a relaxing effect and improves the beauty of our skin.

Magnesium, being absorbed through the skin, directly finds its way to the cells where it is needed and thus protects the stomach and intestine.
